Book Review: Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis

Having read it twice, this novel is one of my all-time favorites for several reasons. Hunter S. Thompson: Iconic Passage From Fear and Loathing

The following is an iconic passage from the classic book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. In the passage, Thompson laments the aftermath of the 1960s counterculture movement. An orphan of the hippie generation himself, Thompson spawned the idea of “gonzo journalism”, a subjective journalistic style which blurs the line between reporter and participant which has had a major influence on my own style as a news reporter and writer.
